Xicamatl wants to remind people of their past and keep culture alive!
This significative and symbolic resin figure of your very own ancient Xoloitzcuintle comes with their own accessories to celebrate the history of indigenous peoples (their very own ball and Perritos Bailarines figure)

As this figure was made to commemorate International Day of the World’s Indigenous People I decided it was important will include all that went into it's design:

This Xolo is dressed in traditional Mexica clothes to represent Mexica (or Nahua. These are better terms as Aztec was a colonial name used to refer to many indigenous people of the times) peoples that have existed in my country of Mexico for many years. The Xolo is tied to Dia de Muertos as the dog that guides souls through the underworld but also because of its ties to the deity Xolotl. Xolotl represents many things, amongst them death, duality and twins. As the twin of Quetzalcoatl (a mayor deity to Mexicas) he fits these themes well.
For the theme of twins I made a Perritos Bailarines figure (an actual statue in the State of Colima in Mexico), that also represents heritage, perfect for this theme.
As for the ball, some accounts link Xolotl to the Ball Game (sometimes called Aztec Ball Game) that was actually played by many pre-Hispanic cultures. It fits with the theme perfectly too because it is said the game represents stars (like the sun, moon and Venus) orbiting in the sky. For this reason I sculpted a depiction of a sun (based on the "Aztec Calendar") and the moon on the back (based on an old Nahua legend of a bunny in the moon, as opposed to a man in the moon like in America).
Lastly I added an Ollin symbol that symbolizes movement or in motion. Highly tied to stars like the sun and to Xolotl as the eye in the middle is said to belong to this deity.

Get them as the Normal 2" size or the Baby Bud 1" size (sizes are an approximate of the average between figures)
*Accessories will stay the same size regardless of pets' size.

Sculpt on it, modify it and paint it whichever way you like.
As this is an art toy it is meant to be handled with care, not made to withstand play.

*If you get the version with a ball joint please keep in mind that this figure is still not made for extensive play. The material might wear over time.

Please allow for processing time of about 7 to 14 days as all figures are made to order. *If you order on release please wait for an additional 7 days at least so that you can get the exclusive Sticker with your order, thank you.
